Foods That Naturally Unclog Arteries



Olive oil
Olive oil is shown to be effective at preventing cholesterol oxidize and stick to the arteries. Only the cholesterol which is oxidized can stick to the artery walls and form plaques. The ingredient of Olive oil, monounsaturated fats is less likely to be oxidized when mixed with bad cholesterol.
Garlic
Long time ago the power of garlic was discovered to treat various diseases and prevent various adverse health conditions. At the beginning it was used to treat high blood pressure and heart diseases, but according to some research associated with preventive medicine, garlic is shown to be good in preventing coronary artery calcification which is used as a marker for plaque formation.
Grapes

Fatty acids found in the fish are powerful at preventing formation of clots and oxidation of cholesterol.
Spinach
Spinach is rich with folic acid and potassium, ingredients which help in preventing hypertension. Lutein, which can also be found in spinach acts as a good protector against macular degeneration related to aging. Keeps the arteries free in a way that prevents the cholesterol to build up, and with this it protects you from heart attacks.
Tomatoes
According to study conducted by researchers from Korea, they found that a certain compound present in tomatoes helps in the prevention of hardening of arteries. This compound is called lycopene which gives the color to the tomato. According to the research, women that have high levels of lycopene in their blood were shown to have lesser stiffness in their arteries.
Cranberry juice
Every week, if you want to unclog your arteries, you need to drink 3 glasses of this juice. It increases cell’s ability to absorb the fat and produces energy from it, instead of letting the fat to build up in the blood vessels, keeping away the fat from your arteries.
Pomegranates
Pomegranates and their juice are antioxidants which help in the fight against hardening of arteries by reducing blood vessel damage, reversing the progression of this disease.
Oats
The ingredient of oats, soluble fiber, does not allow cholesterol creation. The fiber attaches itself with cholesterol and carries it out of the body. Kiwi and Cantaloupe
One cup of cantaloupe or one kiwi per day may help unclog the arteries. These fruits are rich with antioxidants and shown to be powerful in reducing toxic LDL cholesterol formed by a rusting process in the arteries. They help in stopping the rust and also preventing it from spreading.
